Computer Support Technician Employment Opportunity
Purpose:
This position maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, networking and peripherals in-house and on-site for multiple clients. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Essential Duties:
Technical support and troubleshooting
(in-house, on-site, and via telephone)
Communicating and meeting with clients regarding computer sales and support projects (in-house and at client locations)
Documenting, maintaining, upgrading and replacing hardware and software systems
Supporting and maintaining user account information including rights, security and systems groups
Assisting with general office management
(including answering phones, inventory, sales, etc.)
Maintaining service logs/database
Learning additional technical support skills
Researching new products and technologies
Qualifications:
Experience with PC repair & troubleshooting.
Outgoing and friendly personality.
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP.
Comprehensive networking skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Experience with Internet applications.
Professional communication skills.
Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Windows file formats.
Reliable, self-insured vehicle.
(reimbursements for mileage are paid quarterly)
Excellent organizational skills.
This position requires lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds as well as physical demands such as kneeling, walking and crouching. Computer systems that need to be maintained may contain explicit adult subject matter.
Location:
Minneapolis, MN.
(5 miles north of the Mall of America)
Hours:
Full-Time, 9:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.
(occasional evening & weekend hours may be required)
Compensation:
$13 - $20 per hour based on qualifications.
